About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Writer to partner with our engineering and platform teams in reimagining and transforming our Cloud & Platform Ecosystems documentation into a best-in-class, developer-first experience. This role is critical in shaping a centralized, discoverable, and sustainable documentation strategy that delivers clarity, accuracy, and long-term value to both our internal teams and external customers.
Program Objectives
As our Senior Technical Writer, you will help lead the execution of the following initiatives:
Centralization & Discoverability
Consolidate documentation into a single, intuitive, engineering-centric platform.Content Cleanup & Relevance
Identify and remove stale, redundant, or low-quality content, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, relevant, and valuable.Documentation Observability & Health
Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., via Grafana) to visualize documentation health, detect stale content, and drive data-informed improvements.Content Strategy & Governance
Define customer journey tagging strategies.
Establish clear documentation ownership and accountability across teams.
Create page rating and feedback systems to gather user input and quality signals.
AI-Enhanced Quality & Maintenance
Define and evolve AI prompts that reflect documentation quality standards.
Automate parts of the review and reporting workflow using these AI standards.
Set up alerting systems that flag documentation issues and notify responsible owners.
Pilot the creation of “Verified Documentation”—regularly reviewed, trusted, and AI-asserted content.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for defining and delivering the systems, standards, and frameworks that support a scalable, high-quality documentation ecosystem:
Develop documentation templates, style guides, and governance frameworks.
Ensure all content is written with clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
Champion accessibility and inclusivity in technical content.
Define SLAs and KPIs for documentation health, quality, and maintenance.
Partner with engineering, product, and platform leads to implement ongoing feedback loops and continuous improvement mechanisms.
Promote and enable distributed documentation ownership, including onboarding and coaching contributors on standards and best practices.
Drive adoption of tools and processes for automated quality checks, observability, and metrics tracking.

A unified, easy-to-navigate documentation platform trusted by engineers and customers.
Clear documentation ownership with strong accountability and distributed contributions.
Real-time visibility into content health through dashboards and feedback mechanisms.
High engagement with content: frequent contributions, meaningful feedback, and low information redundancy.
Continuous improvement measured by SLA/KPI attainment (e.g., freshness, usability, and customer satisfaction).
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Technical Writer in complex engineering or cloud/platform environments.
Expertise in documentation systems, content lifecycle management, and developer experience.
Strong familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) and content metrics.
Experience defining and implementing documentation standards and governance frameworks.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer experience teams.
Hands-on experience implementing or managing AI-assisted documentation tools is a plus.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and change management skills.
